There is just something about eternity bands, I wear a big ol' stack of them myself, so I totally get it. I admit that I almost kept this one for myself, it’s just so different form any other ring that has come across my path and when I put it between two of my regular eternity bands it was quite the fabulous look! Alas, it’s just a bit too big for me, and while the soft and flexible nature of it makes it extremely comfortable on the finger, I’m going to pass on it and let you all have a go.
Fully handcrafted in platinum, this ring most likely started out life as part of a watch band, but it has clearly been in its current state for quite some time. It is set with 54 old European cut diamonds that weigh about .04 carats each for a total diamond weight of about 2.16 carats. It has been carefully acid tested to verify the metal and is also marked with ‘PT’ for platinum and has a maker's mark. This wide band is very much like having an insta-stack of 3 eternity bands, it measures 11.2 mm wide and would fit a finger of about a size 8.5-9.25 US. It’s a wonderful ring to wear, soft and flexible, it conforms perfectly to your hand. This ring was likely made in France, which is where I found it, and dates to about 1925. It weighs 10.7 grams.

This lovely Diamond and Emerald cluster ring was hand crafted around 1960 in 18 karat gold and platinum. The ring is set with 8 transitional cut round diamonds which have a total carat weight of 1.1 carats around an Emerald cut Emerald of bright green which measures 5.5x4.1 mm and weighs about .8 carats. The ring is a size 8.25 but could be resized to suit (at no extra charge). It weighs 5.2 grams and is marked '18ct'. Most likely made in England. This ring would make a wonderful alternative to a traditional engagement ring.
The sky was a deep violet with pops of starlight scattered within it, like sugar crystals spilling onto a picnic blanket. Slowly, as they sat there, on the edge of the pier overlooking the lake, the sky turned into pink, taking the glow of the stars with it. It changed to yellow, as the sun peaked over the horizon, and they made hot cocoa by the campfire. She wore a ring on her finger, with a gemstone, and with love. It was this time last year, right here, just like this, when he asked and she said yes.
This fabulous antique moonstone and gold ring was handcrafted around 1920. It was made in 14 karat gold and has been acid tested. It features a large white moonstone, cabochon cut and oval in shape. The moonstone is kissed with blue light and measures 18.3 x 10 x 7 mm for a weight of about 9.2 carats. The face is 21.8 x 18.6 x 8.8 mm. This ring is a size 9 and weighs 4.2 grams.
For an engagement ring she’ll brag about forever, or a surprise gift just because it’s a Monday, this perfect moonstone ring will bring a smile to her face and a glow to her finger.
I figured that my obsession with Art Deco would have faded by now, it’s been years, but honestly I just keep feeding it with rings like this. The 1920’s has my soul. Just look at the chevron and fan motif on this ring! It’s geometric and sturdy, bold and detailed. During Art Deco, diamonds were placed over onyx for a sharp black and white contrast that fit the dynamic feel of the times. It’s a ring design that has swept me off my feet and stolen my heart.
This beautiful vintage Art Deco ring was handcrafted around 1920. It’s an American piece, made in 10 karat white gold. It features a large flat-cut rectangular onyx with a diamond at the center. The onyx measures 14.4 x 10 x 2.4 mm and the old European cut diamond measures 1.8 mm in diameter. The details on this ring are astonishing as they never seem to end. The ring face itself features elegant geometrics of the times and the shoulders continue this design almost all the way around the band. The diamond’s setting was screwed into the onyx to ensure security. The ring face measures 17.6 x 15 x 5 mm off the finger and the band width is 1.7 mm at the back. This ring is a size 5.5 US band and it weighs 2.2 grams. It bears the gold purity mark, “10k”.
I love a monochromatic theme! This juxtaposition of black and white does it perfectly. It’s bewitching and awaiting your finger.
I’ve always found stones with blue hues to be rather calming. Aquamarines are the color of the water on a sunny day, without a cloud in sight. The name is Latin for, “water of the sea”, as the most revered aquamarines were a natural bluish-green shade. They were first documented around 480 BC and symbolized eternal youth and happiness. I can tell you that this vintage stunner makes me indubitably happy! So, our ancestors were certainly onto something.
This beautiful aquamarine ring was handcrafted in 18 karat white gold. It was made in Birmingham, England in 1972, and is a clear sign of the Retro times. The aquamarine sits at the center of a four-prong high-mount setting, with geometric shoulders on a size 5.75-85 US band. The rectangular step-cut stone measures 9.8 x 7.8 x 5 mm and weighs approximately 2.62 carats. The ring face measures 11 x 8.5 x 9 mm off the finger, and the band width is 2.3 mm. This vintage ring has been fully hallmarked. It bears the crown mark for England, the gold purity mark, “18”, the origin mark for Birmingham, and the date letter, “X”. The maker’s mark reads, “S&Co”.
It looks to me like this is your next favorite cocktail ring. It’s not too big, and not too small, just the right size to make a beautiful statement.
