Buttery Victorian Cabochon Garnet Gold Bracelet

$ 3,850.00

Just like people, this fantastic bracelet was made to be seen by candlelight. Can't you just picture it? Giving off flashes of deep luminous red to match your cabernet as you sit with friends, eating and drinking in the soft glow.

Often referred to as Bohemian garnets because many of the stones were mined in Bohemia, in what is now the Czech Republic. I think that they should be called Bohemian because they are dark and earthy and mysterious, just what you need to play the modern day Gypsy. Very popular in the romantic Victorian years.

This gorgeous bracelet is set in 9 karat garnet gold, this handmade piece consists of 13 plaques, each set with two oval cabochon garnets with a rose cut garnet in between, in the shape of a leaf. The cabochon garnets are 23x7.5 mm and the rose cuts are 5 mm faceted gems. The bracelet measures 7 inches long and .81 inches wide. It has a wonderful hidden clasp and we’ll add a safety chain before shipping. It weighs 32.6 grams. The bracelet is unmarked but has been carefully acid tested. Made in England around 1870.
