Classic Edwardian Diamond Engagement Ring in Platinum

Some pieces I buy on a pure, girly, bubble gum, princess fantasy level. Because, let’s face it, sometimes a girl just needs something sparkly and fabulous ring to get her through the day. Homeschooling the kids, washing dishes (all. day. long.), doing load after load of laundry, feeding the dog (does anyone else ever remember to feed the dog?), they are all made a little bit easier when a girl’s got a good home manicure and a ring like this on her finger. It’s equally excellent for romantic dates with the hubs (in the back yard) or cocktails on Thirsty Thursday with the ladies (on Zoom).

This Edwardian beauty was hand crafted in platinum in about 1915. The sparkling centerpiece of this perfect Engagement ring is an Old European Mine Cut Diamond of 1.01 carats (weighed loose). The stone is estimated as G-H in color and VS1 in clarity. This ring measures 6.2 mm north to south at the widest point and narrows to 1.2 mm at the back of the band. The diamond is flanked by 8 singer cut diamonds, (F-G/VS1-2) which graduate in size between 1-1.7 mm. This size 6.25 ring weighs 2.1 grams, it could be re-sized to suit.

Did he promise you a diamond someday? Maybe that day is now?
