Early Victorian Forget-me-not Pearl Turquoise Enamel Ring Locket Back

Ah, those sentimental Victorians! How could I not fall instantly head over heels for this Victorian ring just loaded with charm and tender emotion. This ring is a prime example of the romantic age, adorned with fantastically detailed enamel and a pearl and turquoise forget-me-not flower, symbolizing eternal love!

This completely hand crafted ring is fully hallmarked with the English crown mark, the anchor for Birmingham, the mark ‘z’ for the year 1848, the ‘9’ mark for 9 karat gold and the makers mark ‘P&S’. The top of the ring features a beautiful forget-me-not set with 6 creamy pearls and a central turquoise and the shoulders are decorated with scrolling black enamel. The back of the ring has a locket set with hair, it still has its original crystal which is very rare. The face of the ring measures 8.8 mm north to south and 8.1 mm across, it sits 4 mm off the finger and narrows to 2.1 mm at the back of the band. This wonderfully sentimental ring weighs 1.4 grams and is a size 5.5 US.
