Edwardian 5 Colored Diamond Ring 18k Gold .99cttw

Sometimes a piece might take a little detour through my personal jewelry box. Only the ones I really love get to take this side trip. This ring was in there for awhile and on my finger more often than not. I stacked it with two others, all white diamonds top and bottom and this beautiful array of yellow-green stones in the center. They look different in different lights, sometimes almost as white as the others, but when the light hit them right their true color jumped out and was truly mesmerizing to the eyes.

This hand crafted ring is ready to move on to a new owner, it’s gotten a bit large on me and I don’t wear it as much. It’s set with five Old European cushion cut diamonds, the center three are perfectly color-matched in a bright yellow kissed with green, the outer two are lighter in color. The total diamond weight is .99 carats. This ring measures 4.6 mm north to south and 19.6 mm across, it sits 3.9 mm off the finger and narrows to 1.2 mm a the back of the band. The ring is a size 8.5 US and weighs 3.5 grams.

This ring is marked inside the band with the makers mark “BP” and 18ct, it is also inscribed with “Fred, Nell 27-2-07”. This ring was probably made around 1905, likely in England.
