Edwardian Aquamarine Pearl Gold Necklace Pendant

On my last buying trip, I found myself in a hot, stuffy building in Kempton Park. It was sweltering outside and all I wanted to do was have an iced coffee and finish my book (currently reading Jewels, A Secret History, highly recommended). Of course, as fate would have it, and fate always has it, I got distracted by aquamarines and pearls on gold. Can you blame me?

This gorgeous and high quality antique Edwardian gold pendant was handcrafted in England around 1910. There are three deep blue aquamarines patterned with six creamy white pearls on this elegant bow-inspired pendant. The aquamarines measure an approximate total of .8 carats. Overall, this pendant measures 55.6 x 25 mm and the chain measures 16.5 inches. It weighs 6.3 grams. It bears the maker’s mark, “BHJ” for Barnet Henry Joseph who worked in Birmingham from 1865-1929 and later became B.H. Joseph & Co.; it is also stamped with the gold purity mark, “9C”, indicating it was made in 9 karat gold.

This fabulous pendant makes the case for itself, it’s a must-have due to its timelessness, elegance, quality and shine.
