Edwardian Diamond Ruby Boat Ring Halo Stacking

I test drove this fantastic ring at a garden party last week, it was hosted by beautiful people and set on the grounds of a grand manor, surrounded by lush gardens in full bloom. Needless to say it was a ravishing success. The rubies stood out among the simple gold and silver which the rest of them wore. It was a lively, almost boisterous, addition that even kept of with trellises heavy with roses.

This antique diamond ruby gold ring was handcrafted around 1910. It features a beautiful display of five round rubies surrounded by 18, Old European cut, diamonds on a sideways marquis shaped, or boat shaped, ring face. The rubies weigh approximately .57 total carats and the diamonds weigh approximately .72 total carats. The ring face measures 10.5 mm north to south and 19.6 across, it sits 5.5 mm off the finger and the band narrows to 2.0 mm at the back. This ring is a size 10.25 and weighs 5.1 grams. It bears the gold purity mark, “18C” for 18 karat gold.

Dazzle them with rubies and dare them with diamonds. Trust me, they won’t mind.
