It happened in July, when the sun warmed them and gave life to dahlias and violets. They were walking through a sunflower field, the kind with a path that they weren’t really sure was a path. The flowers had grown taller than they were by at least three feet, making them feel like they were in an enchanted wood in a fairytale. They laughed amongst the foliage, trying to make out the clouds above. He casually pulled a ring from his pocket, asking for her hand, while rabbits hopped around their feet and birds chirped above their heads. She said yes and off they went, farther into the field, and off to live their happy ever after.
This antique Edwardian diamond ring was handcrafted around 1910, likely in France. It features a swirling motif of 10 old European cut diamonds with a bright round faceted ruby at the center, the stones are set in platinum over 18 karat gold. The ring face measures 15 mm north to south, 10 mm across and sits 4.2 mm off the finger. Although this ring bears no marks it has been acid tested. It is a size 7 and weighs 2.1 grams.
Rings don’t start out as sentimental. They earn it as time goes on. Start your adventure with a one-of-a-kind stunner like this, and never look back.
