Edwardian Gold Man in the Moon Charm Pendant Double Sided

In reality Earth’s moon was formed about 4.5 billion years ago when a giant astroid hit the earth. The dust and debris from the impact coalesced into a big ball of rock which was kind enough to give us waves and reflect back the suns glow to light up our nights. Reality doesn’t really come into play very often when it comes to the moon, though, does it? The moon is romance and whimsy, it’s face, perfectly pocked with space debris, forms a benevolent face whose unchanging expression is a constant in all our lives.

This wonderful little ‘man in the moon’ pendant is a little unlike the moon in that it actually has two faces, one side happy and serene, the other sad and blue. This lovely pendant is crafted in 9 karat gold and is marked ‘9c’, it was made in England around 1910-1920. Including the bale this pendant measures 17 mm north to south and is 12 mm across, it weighs .4 grams.
