Edwardian Moonstone Solitaire Ring in 18k Gold

Sometimes simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Leonardo da Vinci knew this. This ring is extra proof, in case you needed it.

A solitary moonstone is held lovingly by eight prongs of 18 karat gold in this simple yet most certainly sophisticated ring. This beautiful moonstone has wonderful blue adularescence and measures 11.3x7.3x3.3 mm making it about 1.55 carats in weight by formula. The face of this ring measures 11.4 mm from north to south and 8.1 mm across, it sits 6.6 mm off the finger and narrows to 1.7 mm at the back of the band. This size 7.25 ring was likely made in England in about 1900. It is unmarked but has been carefully acid tested to verify the gold content. It could be resized upon request.
