Edwardian Silver Moonstone Necklace Arts & Crafts

Not all jewelry has that everyday factor. Some things are more iconic than that. Some things are miles ahead of, well, everything. Just look at this dashing silver moonstone necklace, suitable for evening gowns and occasions. Of course, with a dazzlingly debonair piece like this, no one could blame you for wanting to don it daily.

Ah, finally, a necklace with that stately, classic, all-eyes-on-you look.

This antique Edwardian silver and moonstone drop necklace was handcrafted in England around 1910. It features six cabochon cut moonstones, both round and oval, elegantly set on a double silver chain with a scrolling motif. This necklace measures 16 inches in length with a 46 mm drop. It weighs 9.1 grams and has been acid tested.

During the Edwardian and Arts and Crafts eras, stones such as moonstones, pearls, and opals were used quite often as they seemed alive with the way they shined in most any light. They were typically cut en cabochon, just like this wonderful necklace!
