Engraved Sterling Silver Buckle Bangle with Unique Button Closure, Birmingham 1865

She wore this bracelet made of silver that went spectacularly with her silver hair, her turquoise tunic and the Tuscan sun. It’s all the photographers wanted pictures of. She was made of stardust and attracted smiles, laughs, and introductions. Anyone seeking a muse that day found one.

This gorgeous Sterling Silver Buckle Bangle was hand crafted in 1865 in Birmingham, England. Its engraved details give it form beyond beauty. The unique closure adds a rarity to this oval bracelet. It’s something you don’t see every day, but just as secure as the more common closures would be. It is fully hallmarked with a lion passant – meaning English Sterling Silver, an anchor – for the Birmingham origin, and the letter year code ‘k’ – indicating this piece’s birth in 1865. This piece weighs 17.3 grams and measures 62.8 x 55.6 x 12.7 mm. It would fit a wrist of 7.25 inches or less.

It’s one of those pieces that when you know, you know.
