Fantastic Edwardian Topaz and Pearl Necklace in 9k Gold

Long delicate and lacy dresses, up-dos that took time and staff to create, and light and lovely jewels, all of these were typical of the Edwardian style that swept Europe in the early days of the 1900s.

This fantastic Edwardian necklace was handcrafted in 9 karat gold. Three draping swags of fine gold chain are set with 12 creamy drilled pearls with a fantastic natural shape. The center stone is a brilliant glowing peachy orange topaz which measures 9 mm across and is 4.9 mm deep for an estimated weight of 2.5 carats. It has a wonderful double pearl drop which is set with two drilled pearls and two larger undrilled pearls in swirling gold baskets. All of the pearls seem as though they may be natural, but I’ve not had them tested. The necklace was made around 1910-1915, in the delicate and glowing Edwardian style. It measures 18.25 inches long and weighs 5.4 grams.
