Georgian Pearl Topaz Cluster Ring

This early Georgian pearl and topaz cluster ring has a subtle beauty and a long history. If only it could talk, I wonder what stories it would tell?

Completely hand crafted, this ring dates to about 1820, and was most certainly made in England. This 18 karat gold ring is set with a lovely whiskey colored topaz which is foil backed and surrounded by 8 wonderful, creamy white pearls. The topaz measures 3.4 x 3.8 mm and the pearls are 3.4 mm in diameter on average. The face of this ring measures 12.7 mm north to south and 11.8 mm across at the face and sits 3.8 mm off the finger, it narrows to 2.2 mm at the back of the band. This wonderful ring is a size 8 and would be difficult to re-size, it weighs 2.6 grams. Totally unmarked, this ring tests as 18 karat gold.
