Large Art Deco Blue Zircon Diamond Ring

Blue Zircon is one of the oldest gems in the world, clocking in at around 4.4 billion years, just half a billion years shy of the age of the earth. Due to its crystal structure, blue zircon scientifically has one of the liveliest displays of sparkle. George Kunz, the famous Tiffany and Company’s vice president of gemology from 1879 to 1932, wanted to call the blue zircon ‘Starlight’ because of how fiery the stone was.

This gorgeous blue zircon vintage platinum ring was handcrafted around 1920. A stunning azure blue zircon gemstone, sits in a platinum four-prong setting. The faceted zircon measures 13.27x13.27x8.35 mm and weighs approximately 12.4 carats. The sides are bead set with 14 early round brilliant cut diamonds which weigh .15 carats total. This stunning ring is a size 7.5 and weighs 6.5 grams. The face of the ring measures 13.3 mm north to south and 16.8 mm across, it sits 9 mm off the finger. There are no marks but this ring is likely English and it has been acid tested.

This ring has been professionally appraised by a 3rd party appraiser and has a replacement value of $10,500 USD.

Wear fireworks on your finger with this fiery solitaire ring! This piece would make a brilliant engagement or even anniversary ring.
