Set of Four Art Nouveau Lady in Head Profile Silver Buttons Signed by Felix Rasumny

This set of four amazing buttons are signed F. Rasumny for Felix Rasumny (1869-1940), a well known medal artist and jewelry designer who emigrated from Russia to France, where he worked in all manner of metals. They are truly lovely with strong Art Nouveau lines. Each is large, 1 1/4 inches wide and 1 inch high, and showcases a woman in profile with lilies in her hair. I actually purchased these buttons with the idea of making them into pendants, but I find I haven't the heart to split them up! They are so lovely and would make such a great statement on a coat or cloak.

They are in excellent condition, fully hallmarked with the makers mark for Reynolds & Westwood, a firm with a shop on Vyse Street in Birmingham between 1898 and 1908. I don't know weather the hallmarks indicated that these were imported into the UK or weather the artist created the design and they were produced by Reynolds & Westwood, I suspect the former. They are marked with a 1903 hallmark. Together they weigh 41.2 grams. These special buttons are a wonderful find!
