Stunning Antique Victorian 9k Rose Gold Watch Chain

The humble watch chain, at once both functional and decorative. So decorative in fact, that long after we have pretty much ceased as a society the practice of carrying a pocket watch (or any watch at all for that matter), we still find a use for the chain that was once used to attach it to a coat. If you ask me, these chains look much prettier around the neck than they ever did hanging out of a vest pocket!

This beautiful and glowing watch chain was handcrafted in England around the year 1900. It is made from 9 karat gold with a slightly rosy hue. The links are at once delicate and sturdy, with beautiful long paperclip links interspersed with three round ones.

This watch chain measures 16.5 inches long not including the T-bar drop. The T-bar is 1 3/8 inches long and drops 7/8 inch off the chain, the link it's on is two sided and it could easily hold a fob or other bauble. The long links measure 1 inch long and 3/8 inch wide, it weighs in at a luxurious 52.8 grams. This chain is marked on every link with '9' and '375' to indicate its gold content and is further marked on the T-bar with the maker's mark 'LW&G'. These chains are equally attractive on both men and women.
