This fabulous and oversized brooch was hand crafted by the firm of Grann and Laglye, a firm which was located in Copenhagen in the early 1900s. It is made in 830 silver and is set with two wonderfully rich opaque orange amber gems. The center stone measures 15x12mm and the amber drop is 13 mm long and 7 mm wide at the widest point.
Overall, this large pin measures 100 mm from top to bottom and 70 mm across at the widest point, it is 9 mm thick and has a silver pin stem with C clasp. We could discuss covering this brooch into an amazing necklace if you like, I’m leaving it in it’s original condition for now. This artistic piece is marked to the reverse with ‘830 S’ for the metal, DTA for the National Association of Danish Enterprises, and CTC which was an early mark of the firm Grann & Laglye.
