She was a bit shy, and mostly hung around the dessert table where dark chocolate candies were nicely perched in a vintage crystal dish. Her Manolo Blahnik booties clicked on the waxy terrazzo floor as she indulged her taste buds with a raspberry sweet. Silver mood lighting flowed throughout at this work-related cocktail party. Her coworkers seemed to see her a little bit differently on this particular autumn evening. It was hard to say what got more attention, her smile or her necklace.
This wonderful vintage Art Deco and marcasite necklace is a collar of classic twists, layers, and elegance. From the ribbon shaped collar, to the fleur-de-lis like drops, this necklace was meant to make a statement. It sparkles in the light and I swear it even sparkles in the dark. It is marked with, ‘Platinin’, which is a white metal alloy of silver, copper, nickel and zinc. It was used during the Art Deco period to imitate platinum. This collar measures 17 inches in length and weighs 34.5 grams.
This necklace will surely show everyone what they’ve been missing.
