Presbyterianism was an offshoot of the reformist Church of Scotland and crosses of both share some similarities, while the Scottish cross was usually celtic with arms that flared inward at the center, the Presbyterian cross is straight and flares at the ends. Both styles contain a circle at the center, a symbol which is perhaps a nod to the Roman Sun-god, Invictus? Or perhaps is representative of the halo of Christ?

This very Presbyterian cross has a diamond which is graver set a the enter in a setting which very much resembles a star, the circle is set with 12 creamy pearls. This is one of those Goldilocks-perfect sized crosses which is not too big and not too small, it measures 47.3 mm top to bottom including the bale and 25.3 mm across and is 3.4 mm thick. This wonderful cross is unmarked but tests as 15 karat gold, it weighs 6.6 grams.
