Victorian 3 Stone Orange Coral Ring 15k Gold

I think there's something luxurious about coral. It brings to mind sail boats, silk scarves and well manicured hands sipping cold cocktails. I suppose it's their origins in the sea, but whatever it is, a ring like this just makes me want to put on a fluttery little dress and take a seat on the starboard side.

This fantastic coral ring was made in England during the Victorian era, circa 1890. It was hand crafted in 15 karat gold. It is set with three cabochon cut coral gems in a smooth and weighty ring of gold. The largest gem measures 7.7 x 4.2 x 2 mm and the next two are 5 x 3.4 x 1.8 mm deep. This ring measures 9.7 mm north to south and it’s low profile is only 3 mm off the finger at the highest point, it narrows to 4.8 mm at the back of the band. This ring is marked 15c for the gold content and has the makers mark ‘JJ&S’. This ring is a size 7.5 and weighs 7.2 grams.
