Victorian 3 Stone Sapphire Diamond Stacking Band Ring

If there was an iconic English ring that was made during the last years of the Victorian and early years of the Edwardian era, it was this one. Graver set with three gems, variations on this theme included all diamonds, emeralds and diamonds, rubies and diamonds and of course sapphires and diamonds. This wonderful ring is set with two bright glowing round faceted sapphires and one sparkling old European cut diamond. The diamond weighs approximately .15 carats and the two sapphires add up to about .4 carats. This ring is marked with a full set of English Hallmarks which indicate that it was made in Birmingham, England in 1885 of 18 karat gold. This ring measures 7.2 mm from north to south at the widest part and sits 2.5 mm off the finger, it narrows to 3.4 mm at the back of the band. This size 8 ring weighs 5 grams.
