Victorian 7+ Carat Moonstone Solitaire Ring in Gold

It looked like the light from the moon, as though silver drops of it were contained inside her ring. She wore it instead of a watch, as she liked losing track of the time; it’s easier to indulge in the living of life that way. She woke up with the sun and stayed up until whenever. She had an understanding that destinations were grossly overrated and that the ticking of a clock never got anybody anywhere. She’ll stick to moonstones, thank you very much.

This antique Victorian 9 karat gold ring was handcrafted in England, around 1900. It holds a single, beautiful oval cabochon moonstone at the center, complete with a split shank at the shoulders. The moonstone measures 14 x 11 x 6.3 mm and weighs about 7.16 carats. This darling accessory is a size 10 and weighs 4.2 grams. It has been professionally acid tested. The ring face is 15 x 12 x 6.5 mm and the band width at the back is 4.0 mm.

This antique ring is one to be adored in all its glowing adularescence!
