Victorian Buckle Bangle Sterling Silver

The buckle was a common motif in Victorian jewelry as it symbolizes eternity. The idea of one end being threaded into the other, creating a never-ending circle, was a powerful justification of its meaning. When worn, or gifted, it represented the beautiful ideas of unending love, fidelity, and strength. This wonderful piece of Victorian tradition is smothered with romantic symbolism. The buckle was popularized by Queen Victoria during her reign and remains a popular design even today.

This fabulous antique Victorian take on a bangle was handcrafted in England around 1890. It was made in sterling silver and is in the shape of a handsome buckle or buttoned cuff. It would fit a wrist up to 7.5 inches around and weighs 39.7 grams. This piece is 22.3 mm wide and 2.8 mm in depth. The silver purity mark, ‘Sterling Silver’, can be found on the tongue.

Buckles signify commitment and strong relationships. I promise you won't have any trouble committing to this stunning bangle.
