Victorian Garnet Ring 3 Stone 15k Gold

Three sparkling wine colored garnets make up the backbone of this lovely, long ring. It was hand crafted in England of 15 karat gold in about 1890. The three stones are bright and lovely, a rich-plummy wine color. Each stone measures 5x5x2.5 mm and weighs about .35 carats, a total weight of 1.05 carats. The top and bottom stones are a bit deeper in color than the center. The ring measures 18.7 mm from top to bottom and 18 mm across, it sits 4.3 mm off the finger and narrows to 2.2 mm at the back of the band. This ring is unmarked but has an insurance number inscribed on it, it tests as 15 karat gold, weighs 3.3 grams and is a size 8.
