Victorian 'Hope' Ring Sterling 1881

$ 408.00 $ 480.00

When I picked this ring up, for one moment I thought it said “Nope”, but of course this Victorian beauty predates our 21st century use of this particular word, and this ring actually reads “Hope”. A name? A lovely word and an amazing sentiment. What are we, after all, if we don’t have Hope?

This ring was hand crafted in Birmingham, England in 1881, it is beautifully engraved and measures 9.2 mm north to south at the face. The ring is fully hallmarked, in addition to the place and date of manufacture it is also marked with the Lion for sterling silver and the makers mark ‘PV’. This ring is a size 7 and weighs 3 grams.
