Victorian Pearl Rose Cut Diamond Ring in 18k Gold Hallmarked 1889

This sweetheart of a ring was hand crafted in Birmingham, England in 1889, just before the turn of the century. It is set with a creamy, white half pearl of 3 mm in diameter which is surrounded by a halo of 10 1.2 mm rose cut diamond. The ring is beautifully hand crafted and fully hallmarks with the marks for the city and country of origin and the year 1889, as well as an ’18’ indicating the 18 karat gold content and a makers mark of ‘Oe&Fd’. This ring measures 7.5 mm north to south and 13 mm across, it has a low profile and sits just 3.2 mm off the finger. The size 6 ring weighs 3.4 grams.
