Victorian Silver Buckle Bangle, Dtd. 1884

$ 1,380.00

An eternal loop. Fidelity, loyalty, love forever alive. That’s what the belt symbolized in the Victorian Era, and why people were so wild about buckle jewelry. Recently, I find that this lovely symbol is becoming popular once again!

This beautiful Victorian Silver Buckle Bangle is a wonderful gift to give or receive. Made in Birmingham, England in 1884, the craftsmanship is extraordinary! There are so many lovely details, including silver orbs tracing the line of the belt-end, a beautiful engraved motif of scattered leaves, and convincing features that suggest suppleness of real leather. The shape and shine makes for quite a sleek complement to any outfit. Measuring 7 inches in circumference with a width of 25.4 mm and depth of 11 mm, this fabulous bangle has good visual presence and is a very comfortable fit. There are several hallmarks: a “k” for the year 1884, an anchor, a lion passant and the maker’s mark “H.BRS.”

This bangle has that special quality of appearing quite modern and venerable at the same time. It’s smart, sophisticated and a great addition to your wardrobe. I’m sure it will quickly become one of your favorite pieces!
