Victorian Untreated Sapphire Ring 5 Stone 3.4 carats

It’s like a field of irises in an impressionist painting, or a bowl of blueberries on a sunny afternoon. It’s like the dark feathers on a blue jay, or the body of a neon colored peacock. Blue is a rare shade in nature, it’s no wonder sapphires have been attributed to royalty and wealth since the beginning of written history.

This antique Victorian natural sapphire and gold ring was handcrafted in England, around 1890. This ring holds five natural, untreated, sapphires, in a mesmerizing shade of cornflower blue. Together, this ring boasts 3.4 total carats of spellbinding sapphires. The face measures 7 x 22.5 x 4 mm off the finger, with a bandwidth of 2.0 mm. This ring is a size 8.75 and weighs 5.3 grams. This piece is unmarked and has been acid tested. It comes with a certificate on the sapphires.

It’s uncommon to find a ring with untreated sapphires. Simply put, this means that these stones have not been heated or touched by chemicals that would alter the color or quality of the stone, that they came out of the ground looking just this gorgeous. This ring would be an ideal unique engagement ring, or the best birthday surprise of her lifetime!
