Made in London in 1979, this beauty is a study in poise and sophistication. A richly amaranthine amethyst of 1 carat is elegantly perched between two gleaming, ten point diamonds. A sleek band of 18 karat gold makes up the body of of the ring, and the platinum settings raise the brilliant stones to a medium profile for a wonderful visual effect. The face measures 9 x 14 mm with a depth of 5.8 mm, and the band is 2 mm wide. Fully marked: “18CT,” “Plat,”, “750,” and with a leopard head for London and the letter “E” for 1979. It also bears the maker’s mark “ABS” for ‘AB Savory’. The ring weighs 2.8 grams and is a size 7 US.
