Vintage Art Deco Blue Zircon Ring Solitaire

Blue Zircon is one of the oldest gems in the world, clocking in at around 4.4 billion years, just half a billion years shy of the age of the earth. Due to its crystal structure, blue zircon scientifically has one of the liveliest displays of sparkle. George Kunz, the famous Tiffany and Co’s vice president of gemology from 1879 to 1932, wanted to call the blue zircon ‘Starlight’ because of how fiery the stone was.

This gorgeous blue zircon vintage platinum ring was handcrafted around 1920. A stunning azure blue zircon gemstone, sits in a platinum four-prong setting. The faceted zircon measures 15 x 15 x 9.9 mm and weighs approximately 18.64 carats. This stunning ring is a size 8 and weighs 8.8 grams. The band width measures 2.0 mm at the back. There are no marks but this ring is likely English and it has been acid tested.

Wear fireworks on your finger with this fiery solitaire ring! This piece would make a brilliant engagement or even anniversary ring.
