Vintage Art Deco Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring

It was a simple proposal, with sweet talk about everlasting love and adventures together. He asked her as they wandered through the woods, telling jokes, and bantering. She was speechless for a moment, with butterflies in her stomach. Her heart may have skipped a beat or two. He showed her the ring and her eyes grew wide. She let him slip it on her finger, as she was breathless at the sight of the glimmering prismatic diamond. This ring was anything but simple.

This perfect vintage Art Deco platinum diamond ring was handcrafted around 1920 or 1925. It was made in America during the infamous Jazz Age. It features an Old European round cut diamond weighing .5 carats. This center diamond measures 5 mm in diameter and 3.2 mm in depth. There are four more diamonds that decorate the ring’s shoulders, giving this stunner even more glitz. The sides of the ring face bear filigree made to look like little bows. The shoulders have been ornately engraved. This ring is a size 6 and weighs 2.5 grams. It is unmarked and has been acid tested. The face is 6 x 14 x 5.4 mm with a band width of 1.2 mm.
