When the gents in my life come knocking on my door looking for a ring to give their lady as the ‘first’ ring, the ring before ‘the’ ring, if you will, I always recommend a garnet. Garnets have a romantic nature, a long connection with romance and a classic style.
This wonderful early Art Deco ring has a fabulous lines. Hand crafted in 9 karat rose gold and set with a rich red sparkling oval faceted garnet, this lovely ring was made in Chester, England in 1919. It is fully hallmarked with its city and date code, and also ‘9’ and ‘.375’ for the gold content and a makers mark that’s a little tough to make out. This ring is a size 9.5 and could be re-sized to suit, it weighs 2.6 grams.
This ring would be equally good looking on a man or a woman.
