This vintage jade ring was handcrafted in England in the 1930s. A bright green carved jade sits at the center, prong set in 9 karat white gold, on a size 8 band. The oval jade measures 15.5 x 10.8 x 2.6 mm and has a slight fracture but is stable. This piece weighs 4.6 grams. It bears the gold purity mark, “9ct GOLD”. It also bears the inscription, “A.A.B 11th Sept 1936”.
Jade evokes such a majestic mystery that every time I see a ring like this I just have to have it. I’ve been wearing it all week long and I’ve decided that it’s time to share. Blame the holiday season if you must!
