Vintage Edwardian Sapphire Diamond Cluster Ring

It was 1920 and women had just won the right to vote. Her hair was cut short, in the latest fashion and her velvet blue dress was encrusted with beads. She wore heeled shoes and danced the night away as Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five belted out the Muskrat Ramble and slid the trombone so fast she knew it would melt ice. She wore sapphires and diamonds that sparkled in the light of the dance floor. She felt alive and free, she felt the dawning of a new age.

This enchanting, vintage, jazz era diamond cluster and sapphire gold ring was handcrafted around 1920. It features a violet-blue cushion cut sapphire at the center, measuring 5.5 mm in diameter and 5.3 mm in depth, weighing approximately 1.41 carats, set in platinum over 18 karat gold. This mesmerizing stone is surrounded by 10 rose cut diamonds set in 18 karat gold. The shoulders bear another three rose cut diamonds on each side, for a total of six stones, set in platinum over 18 karat gold. The ring face measures 11 x 11 x 7.0 mm off the finger. This ring is a size 7.25 and weighs 2.8 grams. It has been acid tested.

This breathtaking ring would make the perfect engagement ring. It’s unique in color and history. It has that je ne sais quois - just like she does.
