Vintage Leaf Link Silver Necklace by Eiler & Marloe

Eiler and Marloe was a jewelry making firm in Copenhagen, Denmark from 1920 to 1967. Their work was part of the Scandinavian movement known as “Skonvirke”, which, when translated, means, “beautiful work”. It’s a fitting phrase as many of the makers of this movement were trained sculptors, designing and crafting their way to unforgettable and highly coveted works of art. Skonvirke held an aesthetic tenet which was part Arts and Crafts, and part Art Nouveau. It was a reaction to over industrialization, it sought quality craft work, but it also wanted to be available to anyone. Eiler and Marloe specialized in silver and were known for high quality products and design.

This vintage leaf link silver necklace by Eiler & Marloe was handcrafted around 1930 in Denmark. This is a simple collar with a uniform leaf design that encircles the entire neck. It measures 16.5 inches in length and weighs 29.1 grams, each link is 9.5 mm wide. It has been fully hallmarked and bears the silver fineness mark, “830S”, the number, “762”, and the maker’s marks, “EM” and “E&M”.

This silver necklace will make everyday seem like spring with its never-ending circle of bright and happy leaves!
