If you have the upper arms for it, there is nothing sexier than an upper arm bangle. This one was most likely made to be worn that way. Personally, I like to wear bangles like this on my wrist, preferably stacked with other round bangles. The sound of silver on silver is music to my ears.
This wonderful bangle was made by the renowned silversmith Marius Hammer who lived and worked in Bergen, Norway between 1847 and 1927. This bangle features a wonderful dusky purple enamel over machine turned gilded sterling silver. It is marked on the inside with the hallmarks for Marius Hammer and the '925S' for sterling silver. The bangle measures 3/8 of an inch wide and 3-3/8 inches in diameter, approximately 10 inches around. It weighs 26.4 grams and is in wonderful condition with no noticeable loss to the enamel.
