Vintage Modernist Silver Wirework Ring

We were on holiday in Cornwall and took a weekend trip to Edinburgh. It was sunny, we visited Edinburgh Castle, hiked to Authur’s Seat and had afternoon tea at the Palm Court, slept in fluffy beds at the Balmoral Hotel. We strolled antique stores, where I bought this ring, that’s when I decided I was never leaving.

This vintage silver wire work band was handcrafted around 1970.  It is a size 9.5-9.75 and could not be re-sized; it weighs 14.5 grams. The ring face measures 4 mm off the finger and the band width is 9.2 mm all the way around. It bears no marks and has been acid tested.

This unique piece is quite dangerous. Like Edinburgh itself, once you put it on, you won’t want to take it off.
