Vintage Oak Leaves and Acorns Silver Ring

The acorn is a common motif in Scandinavian jewelry. In ancient Scandinavian lore, the oak tree was the tree of the Thunder God named Thor, the protector of mankind. Acorns are the seed of the mighty oak tree, reminding us that great things have humble beginnings. Acorns traditionally symbolize life, fertility, immortality, and patience.

This vintage Scandinavian silver acorn ring was handcrafted around 1930. The front of this lovely piece features an acorn and leaf motif on a size 6.75 band. The ring face measures 25.3 x 22 x 4 mm and the band width is 3.4 mm at the back. There is a silver fineness mark that reads, “830 S”, and there is a maker’s mark that reads, “G.A.S.” There is another hallmark that is simply the number, “3”. This ring weighs 7 grams.

This ring should be worn as often as possible as it’s not only beautiful but fitting for every occasion.
