Vintage St. Christopher Silver Pendant

The name Christopher means ‘Christ-bearer’, which is fitting for a man who’s known as the patron saint of safe travels. The man that many believe to have been the real-life Christopher was born around 300 BC and was named Reprobus. This man wanted to serve God. He chose to spend his time helping people cross a river, as his height, rumored to be more than seven feet tall, and his sturdiness, would be useful there. One day, a child asked for his assistance and without hesitation, Reprobus agreed. The waters grew angry and the current strengthened, the child grew heavier and heavier as they went on. Only after they safety made it across did the child reveal himself as Christ. It’s a story of sacrifice, perseverance, and faith.

This wonderful St. Christopher pendant was handcrafted in sterling silver. It depicts St. Christopher carrying Christ on his back and across the river. The edges of this small pendant are wavy and engraved, giving it a slight flower shape. This piece measures 18.2 mm in diameter and weighs 2.5 grams. It bears the silver fineness mark, “925” and the inscription, “St. Christopher Protect Us”.

This perfect little pendant is ready to hang from your favorite matching chain every day of the week!
