Simple yet stunning, this newly antique (it’s 100 years old this year!) signet ring was hand crafted in 9 karat gold in the year 1922. It seems that it was never carved but has developed a wonderful soft patina in its 100 years. It has mad Art Deco style, almost a kiss the Egyptian Revival lines that were so popular in the early 20s.
This ring is fully hallmarked and the marks tell us that it was made in Birmingham, England in 1922 of 9 karat gold by the firm of Henry Griffith & Sons. The face of this ring measures 12.1 mm north to south and 10.5 mm across, it sits 1.7 mm off the finger and narrows to 3.4 mm wide at the back of the band, it is a size 9.25 and weighs 4.9 grams.
This ring was surely made for a man, but a woman could totally rock it!
