Perhaps this was once the personal seal of a gentleman known for his cunning, or a family whose heraldry celebrated wit over force. The carnelian glows with that unmistakable fiery warmth only true Georgian stones carry, its hand-cut intaglio still crisp after two centuries of sealed letters.

Made around 1810, this fob was crafted in 15 karat gold with graceful scrolling supports and a ribbed looped handle, balanced in perfect Georgian proportion. The carnelian intaglio measures 12.7 x 10 mm, engraved with the image of a fox and tree trunk. The full piece measures 21.8 mm tall, 13.3 mm wide, and 16.5 mm front to back, and weighs 4.1 grams. It is unmarked but professionally tested.
