Vintage Marianne Berg for David Andersen Silver Necklace

$ 580.00

This wonderful and eye-catching necklace was designed by Marianne Berg for David Andersen, a Norwegian company started in the late 1800s. The necklace was made in the 1960s and has that big and bold modernist feel that helped to define Mid-Century design.

This lovely piece, with its grid work pattern so iconic of MCM design, is hallmarked to the reverse with the marks for ‘INV. M.B.’ for Marianne Berg, ‘Silver’ and ’925 S’ for Sterling Silver, the scale symbol assay mark and the makers mark ‘UNI D-A’. The drop is 58 mm long and 43.5 mm across and it measures 23.5 inches long around the neck, it weighs 31.2 grams.
