I love a good Arts and Crafts Jewel and I was particularly delighted by this one; with its gorgeous lines and bright, beautiful enamel, it’s one of those pieces that grabs your eyes and never lets them go.
Hand crafted in Birmingham, England in 1909 of sterling silver, this necklace has a hand hammered finish and enamel that flows from rich blue to green to turquoise, as bright as the sea. The pendant part of this beauty is 46.5 mm north to south and 27.8 mm across, the chain is 17 inches around the neck. It weighs 8.6 grams and has a soft white pearl hanging from the bottom. This one is marked to the reverse with the marks showing when and where it was made and that it’s made of sterling silver. It has a makers mark but I couldn’t make it out.
