It measures 41 millimeters north to south, 45.4 millimeters across the wings, and stands 7.5 millimeters deep. The brooch weighs 7.2 grams and remains unmarked, though it has been tested as silver. The wings display beautiful pierced and engraved detailing, while the articulated design of the body creates a remarkably lifelike silhouette.
