Gold and diamonds together. A classic. But this particular classic, made in 1897, has a touch more personality than some!
A rich, velvety, 18 karat gold band, with a glowing string of stars across its face. Five Old European cut diamonds nestled in a golden swath. On either side of the face, a simple motif has been engraved by a neatly reserved hand, which seems draw the eye in and intensify the sparkling row of diamonds. Clearly, the hand of a true artist! The band is tapered, narrowing on the palm-side, a very comfortable feel. These five little sparklers add up to just over 20 points. The band is marked with several hallmarks—the Crown for made in England, ’18’ for the karat, the mark for Chester and the year 1897. The band width is 1.7 mm and it is a size 6.25 US.
