Marcasites have been used as a stand in for diamonds for millennia and it’s very easy to see why. They might be only white iron pyrite, but their glitter and sparkle is undeniably beautiful and eye-catching.
This great Art Deco bracelet is as modern a look today as it was when this bracelet was created in the 1930s. It is hand crafted in silver and rhodium plated to look a bit more like white gold. The bracelet is 7.5 inches long with a hidden clasp, the top is a faux-buckle motif an is set with 47 sparkling faceted round marcasites. The bracelet is 20 mm north to south at the very widest point. The bracelet is marked with ‘RHOD’ and ‘PL’ for rhodium plated. This bracelet weighs 25.5 grams.
