I’ll say this plainly: if I were in the market for an engagement ring, this is the one I would choose. I don’t fall in love with rings often, but this one has me utterly, unapologetically head over heels. Handcrafted in platinum in about 1915, this engagement ring is centered by an oval-shaped Old European Cut diamond measuring 7.5 × 6 × 3.2 mm and weighing approximately 1 carat. It is surrounded by a halo of eight luminous Old European Cuts, each about 3.5 × 3.5 × 2.5 mm, for a combined halo weight of roughly 1.55 carats, giving this ring a total weight in diamonds of 2.55 carats. The face of the ring measures 15.1 mm north to south and 13.3 mm across, rising 5 mm off the finger and tapering to 1.5 mm at the back of the band. It is marked "PLAT" inside for platinum, it is a size 6.75 and weighs 3.5 grams.
