There is something unmistakably romantic about the pairing of turquoise and garnet, cool sky and deep wine, daylight and candlelight in a single piece. This Hungarian bangle feels richly old-world, its surface alive with ornate silverwork, scrolling details, and clusters of glowing stones set like tiny constellations. The central garnet burns with a deep, velvety red, surrounded by a halo of vivid turquoise cabochons that feel almost electric against the silver. It has presence. It has history. And it wears like a piece collected on a grand European journey.

Crafted in silver and measuring 7 inches in interior circumference, this hinged bangle stands 17.7 millimeters tall at its widest point and weighs 17.6 grams. It is set with 20 turquoise cabochons, 12 measuring approximately 2.5 mm and 8 measuring approximately 3 mm, all closed back; along with 11 garnets, one approximately 6.5 mm, four approximately 4.5 mm, and six approximately 3.5 mm, also closed back. The bracelet bears the Hungarian right-facing greyhound mark with the number “3,” used for small domestic silver articles between 1937 and 1966, along with what appears to be the French import weevil mark. The maker’s mark “F&S” is also present. The piece features a secure hinged opening with box clasp.

This is the kind of bracelet that feels collected rather than purchased, discovered in a velvet-lined case in Budapest, perhaps, or brought home from Paris after passing through customs decades ago. It layers beautifully with silver cuffs or stands alone as a statement of color and craftsmanship. A piece that feels storied, soulful, and distinctly European.
