All around you are the Connemara Mountains, their Spring Green color isn’t limited to their top sides, it’s also in the stone and rock of them. Marble the color of mountains in the Spring.
You might be asking yourself exactly what kind of jewel this is? It’s not a brooch, nor a pendant, it’s a clip. Wear it on a sleeve instead of a bracelet, wear it at the V neck of a dress a blouse, or on a coat or scarf, any way you wear it, just remember that you are carrying a little bit of an Irish mountain around with you!
This wonderful clip was hand crafted in the 20s, when furs were very popular and clips like often worn on them. The clip is made in sterling silver and set with sparkling marcasite gems for that added bit of sparkle. The Connemara marble pieces are carved into smooth semi-circles and beautifully set onto the clip. This brooch measures 51 mm across in either direction and weighs 16.8 grams, it’s unmarked but tests as sterling.
